A quick update…

// November 3rd, 2009 // No Comments » // Project News

Hello out there,

I realized it’s been almost a month since we last updated the site, and figured it would be a good idea to let everyone know Peanut Gallery is still alive and well. We’re working on a few different projects now, and hopefully we’ll be able to talk about them soon.

That said, our current projects are still kicking, too. And there’s that whole IGF thing coming up soon… in fact, Destructoid’s Jordan Devore was kind enough to call out Minor Battle as one of four games to keep an eye on. Thanks Jordan!

It’s going to be stiff competition, with 306 entries. Let’s hope that Minor Battle, or Vaguely Spectacular’s Spectre get some love at the show!

In case you missed it, you can still check out Minor Battle’s appearance on Gametrailers TV. We’re in the middle of Chapter 2, with Amanda MacKay interviewing Andre about the game.

Post-Indiecade Media Roundup

// October 9th, 2009 // No Comments » // Media Coverage

Finishing up the week after Indiecade 2009, here’s a quick media round-up of Peanut Gallery coverage:

Gametrailers TV covered Indiecade in their latest episode. Peanut Gallery’s games show up in Chapter 2, with GameTrailers’ Amanda Mackay interviewing our own Andre Clark about Minor Battle. You also get a quick peek at Spectre!

For the bonus round, try and spot John Brennan right at the end of the Minor Battle segment. He’s leaning over, playing… yep, you guessed it — Zeno Clash. The kid loves him some Half-Life.

Over at Gamasutra, Vincent Diamante gives impressions of Indiecade’s award-winners, including double-award winning Minor Battle: “The random yet focused energy and joy of that game seemed a microcosm of the joy and energy of the whole festival, undoubtedly part of the reason developers and gamers alike awarded the game.”

Bitmob also did a great interview for both Minor Battle and Spectre. The interview was conducted just before Indiecade so it was tough for us to answer the “Jury Award” question.

CtrlAltKill did a write-up on both Minor Battle and Spectre as well. We ran into these guys early at Indiecade, so it was cool to see what they wrote about the show.

If you guys and gals out there see any more press, please email us and let us know!
